My job is to learn about your journey and offer thoughtful, therapeutic feedback that is tailored to your unique situation. I utilize a strengths-based approach and know that each individual and family has within them the ability to not only survive but to thrive and flourish in ways they may not have felt were possible. I am passionate about helping others identify the strength and abilities they already have while targeting the patterns that may be blocking innate potential from being realized.

I have worked with adults, families, couples, and adolescents. I’ve seen individuals and families in the most difficult moments of their lives and helped them overcome a wide range of obstacles including co-parenting, substance abuse, teen behavioral struggles, mood disorders, and sexual acting-out.

Teenagers are living in a world that is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate. Many teens struggle with issues such as drug use, bullying, low grades in school, high anxiety, and anger towards family members, and are faced with the high-pressure world of social media and budding romantic relationships. I use a friendly and compassionate approach to help teens grow into their own power, recognize behaviors or patterns that aren’t getting them what they want, and develop the self-worth and confidence they need to successfully move into the next phase of their lives. I know how incredibly important it is for parents of teens to find new ways to connect with their children and offer them the best support possible, so I involve parents and caregivers as much as I can. By being both discreet with a teenager’s confidentiality yet collaborative with family members as needed, I can help teens and their parents grow and navigate this phase of life and come out of the other side stronger than ever.

I also work with couples and am trained in the Gottman Method to improve communication patterns, build trust, learn co-parenting strategies, and enhance the couple’s connection and intimacy. The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment of the couple relationship and integrates research-based interventions based on the Sound Relationship House Theory.
