Once you have found relief from some of your symptoms of anxiety/depression, we can begin working on finding the root causes of the thinking and behaving patterns that hold you back. WHAT IS EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, or EDMR, is a form of psychotherapy that helps people heal from PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. EDMR is an eight-phase treatment that utilizes the power of rapid eye movement to significantly accelerate patients’ intellectual and emotional processing of past trauma.

EMDR has proven to be remarkably successful in clinical testing, with previous studies finding that roughly 77% of patients were free of PTSD in as little as three sessions. It’s recognized as an effective form of therapy by the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Utilizing the Gottman Method, I work with couples to improve communication patterns, build trust, learn co-parenting strategies, and enhance the couple’s connection and intimacy. The Gottman Method is an approach to couples therapy that includes a thorough assessment and proven strategies to help couples get back to the connection that brought them together in the first place.
